The renowned lagoon cruise company claimed four awards, including three to its staff Arerau “Ali” Maao, Paul Turepu and Andrew Rave, for their outstanding contributions to excellent customer service in the tourism industry.
The awards, presented by Cook Islands Tourism, are given to deserving individuals and businesses for encouraging “the Kia Orana spirit”.
Taa Maoate, the operations manager of Paradise Islands Limited which operates the Vaka Cruise, said receiving the A1 Meitaki awards speaks the volume of their contribution to the industry.
Maoate said the achievement was a great outcome and development for the company.
She said it showed they valued their customers and took pride in their work, company and the island.
“The service our team provides onboard is of high standard and by giving the opportunity to our crew to partake in courses such as the Kia orana Customer Service helps our crew maintain the standard of The Vaka Cruise, and expand their knowledge on how to keep our customers happy and enjoy their day on our cruise,” Maoate said.
“The Vaka Cruise have been the number one boat tour and activities on Aitutaki on TripAdvisor for a number of years, and our very own local staff try and make sure all our guests have a good experience on our tour and especially on the beautiful lagoon of Aitutaki.
“We provide our guests an unforgettable day so they can have good memories of The Vaka Cruise, Aitutaki and the Cook Islands. It’s a must to do in paradise ... The Vaka Cruise is just unique and simply the best.”
