Pacific Resort Group nominated for awards

Pacific Resort Hotel Group has two properties on the list of finalists for a ‘property of the year’ competition.

Te Manava Luxury Villas & Spa and Pacific Resort Aitutaki, have been named regional finalists for the ‘South Pacific Property of the Year’ category, which is part of the HM Awards for Hotel and Accommodation Excellence 2013.

Other hotels on the nominations list include Le Meridien ll des Pins in New Caledonia, Sofitel Bora Bora Marara Beach & Private Island and Sofitel Moorea Ia Ora Beach Resort, both in French Polynesia.

Pacific Resort deputy chief executive officer Marcus Niszow is one of 11 finalists for the South Pacific General Manager of the Year in the same awards, having been involved with the resort’s operations for 10 years.

The HM Awards for Hotel and Accommodation Excellence is in its eleventh year and is considered the leading accommodation industry awards in Australia, New Zealand and the Asia-Pacific region.

In the last 10 years, almost 5000 people have attended the HM Awards and more than 400 awards have been given to hotels across this region.

The HM Awards are annually hosted by industry magazine HM - Hotel and Accommodation Management. The 2013 HM Awards gala presentation dinner is being held at the Sydney Town Hall on Friday September 6, 2013.
