Cooks’ own Culture Club

Te Maeva Nui cultural performances kicked off last night with Aitutaki Enua (pictured) starting the show with a pe’e – their traditional chant.

Tupapa Maraerenga was next on stage with their ute, followed by Atiu Enua with a kapa rima (action song).

Today from 9am to 2pm, locals and tourists will visit the Punanga Nui market to see local crafts and food at the popular BCI Trade Days, on until Thursday.

And then tonight at 7 o’clock, Vaka Puaikura opens this evening’s show with a pe’e at the National Auditorium.
