THE curtain fell on the two weeks long 12th Festival of Pacific Arts which ended last night (CI time) in Guam.

The Cook Islands National Arts Theatre (CINAT) team which was one of the Pacific countries part of the festival had a busy two weeks showcasing the Cook Islands culture and tradition.

The team performed daily, took part in culinary, arts and fashion shows and also attended seminars which focused on safeguarding the Pacific culture and traditions.

The Festival of Pacific Arts, held every four years, has this year attracted 27 Pacific countries and territories and over 2000 performers participating.

The festival is the largest gathering to showcase the unique cultures of the region.

The Cook Islands contingent is expected to return home this weekend.
