A Rarotonga man who committed 15 burglaries targeting tourists has been sentenced to five years and nine months in jail.

A 44 year old man has been found not guilty of rape following a three day jury trial before Justice Hugh Williams in the High Court this week.

A Matavera man who crashed his car into a tree in Ooa in the early hours of Saturday morning is lucky to have escaped without injury.

A charge of assaulting a female resulted in William Atunaisa Nuku Wade being convicted and sentenced to 12 months’ probation when he appeared in the High Court before Justice of the Peace Taepae Tuteru on Thursday, February 26.
