A motorcyclist was injured when he hit a car that pulled out in front of him yesterday afternoon.

The man ran into the driver’s side of the car just after midday yesterday, in front of Charlie’s café in Titikaveka.

An ambulance took the injured man to hospital, with a suspected broken right hand.

Police were called, and are investigating.

The man was driving alone on his motorbike from Titikaveka on his way to Ngatangiia.

Near Pito Maeva’s residence,  a car suddenly pulled out onto the road, causing the collision.

The driver of the car was an elderly man with a passenger in the front seat. The driver returned a nil breath alcohol test, but inquiries are continuing.
