The Rarotongan Beach Resort and Spa is after a woman who impersonated a guest and charged more than $100 to a holidaymaker’s account.

Resort Manager Haimona Browne said they were looking for any information on a woman who came into the resort and fraudulently used the name and room number of a guest to charge $44.30 from the bar and $83.20 from the gift shop to the guest’s account.

“She was not staying with us and we would appreciate any information that could assist the Cook Islands police apprehend her, or alternatively work with police counterparts overseas to arrest her and recover the money she had stole from us.

“It may well be that she has stolen from other businesses on Rarotonga.”

The resort has obtained security camera footage which clearly identifies the woman.

If you have any information about the theft, contact the Cook Islands Police Service on 22499.
