The group of 13 friends, locals and Filipino expat workers, had been inspired by a social post about Arore Heights, above Muri.
Photographer Danilo Reyes was one of the group – he said the post had motivated their early start.
“It’s Muri that gives us an amazing sunrise every morning – viewing sunrise on a mountain peak is spectacular.”
He said the photo represented a new generation: “It says that we are not giving up, it represents hope and courage that everything will be fine.
“We will rise again like the beautiful sunrise in the morning.
