A sea of black and white floated through the Islander Hotel on Saturday night for a night of remembrance, celebration and socialising.

The Rotaract Black and White Reunion Party kicked off at 6pm at the hotel’s Hula Bar with an array of delicious food platters and cocktails.

The event was held in honour of past members and presidents, with many of them taking to the microphone to share their memories of Rotaract.

The event was also honoured with a performance from Peka Fisher, who sang the Miss Cook Islands theme song ‘Maine Kuki Airani’.

Prominent figures were there including the members of the Cook Islands Rotary Society, and the New Zealand High Commissioner Nick Hurley and his wife.

Guests were also treated to a walk through time, with a collection of photographs rolling across a big screen.

The night was also brightened by the Te Tiare dance group performing three items in bright orange costumes.

CI News was there to capture the elegant affair, and the people who made it happen.
