It is set to be an incredible event by international standards with UB40 putting on what organisers describe as an “intimate” concert in Rarotonga.
The promoter, Jacman Entertainment, is excited to be bringing UB40 to our shores.
Currently on tour in NZ and playing much larger crowds of 5000 people upwards, the band has wanted to play here for many years.
With Ali Campbell and Astro, as well as legendary musicians such as guitarist Winston Delandro - who has played with Bob Marley - and drummer Paul Slowley, who often plays with Tom Jones, in the line-up Rarotonga is in for an incredible show.
Just to remind you of some of the huge number of hits UB40 has put out: Red Red Wine, 1 in 10, Kingston Town, Falling in Love With You, I Got You Babe, Here I Am and Many Rivers to Cross.
Tickets are still available in the GA and C reserve categories.
On the night doors will open from 5.30pm onwards with food vendors on site to cater for the UB40 ticketed crowd only.
The band will be here until Wednesday and then head back to New Zealand to continue their tour.
