Over 500 delegates from all over the South Pacific are arriving this weekend to celebrate their 27th regional Annual General Convention here in Rarotonga, to be hosted by the Apostolic Oneness Churches of the Cook Islands.

The official opening will start on Monday (June 26) at the National Auditorium, Avarua, Rarotonga at 6pm.

Prime minister Henry Puna has been accorded the honour and privilege to deliver an opening address, followed by key speakers with a short programme to end with a Holy Ghost anointed celebration of songs, music and all representative delegations from the US, PNG, Australia, NZ, Fiji, Samoa, Tahiti,  Solomons, Tuvalu, Tokelau, Kiribati and Niue.

Together with invited honorary dignitaries, guests and visitors, the Diocesan host Bishop Tutai Pere and Mother Pere warmly invite and gladly welcome any who may wish to come to witness this great occasion.

Chosen theme for this council is: “Jesus Christ Above All – Iesus Mesia Runga, Runga Rava’’, with its highlighting text: “…that he (Jesus Christ) might have the pre-eminence” (Colossians 1: 18c).

Come one, come all – join us in celebrating our One True God of the Bible, our King of kings and Lord of lords, the Great I Am – Lord Jesus Christ; for he alone is worthy of all our praises, worship and honor! Amen!
